I am very glad to know that Shri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rajkot has organized public meeting in all the places of gujarat where Swami Vivekananda stayed during the Bharat Parikrama before going to America to participate in the World Parliament of Religions at Chicago in 1893, to observe 125th Anniversary of the said visit which is to be concluded now through publishing a Souvenir containing articles on glorious culture and holy pilgrim centre of Gujarat. More so, the impact of the Ramakrishna Vivekananda movement on the people of Gujarat.
We all know in his wandering days Swamiji had to dwell with many Princes, Dewans, Learned Personalities also very common men and lowest class of people of the society, which transformed his personality and prepared him to take the task of regeneration of India. We find conformation of this from Swamiji when he said to Swami Trigunatitanandaji at Porbandar ‘Thakur used to tell he has all power in him, if he wishes can overwhelm to world. Now I can feel this to some extent.’
I am sure through this celebration of 125th Anniversary of Swamiji’s Gujarat visit people there have been revitalized by the message and ideals of Ramakrishna Vivekananda, the need of the hour.
