Swami Vivekananda had spent a lot of time in Gujarat in 1891-92 while leading a Parivrajaka life. Gujarat is also associated with the sacred memories of Shri Krishna, Sudama, Narsinh Mehta, Shri Swaminarayan, Mahatma Gandhi, Vinoba Bhave, Sardar Patel, Kaka Saheb Kalelkar, and many others.
